Michael Der Manouel, Jr. - President and CEO
After joining the company in 1992, he acquired the company from his father in 1997. Mike is a 1985 graduate of California State University Fresno with a degree in Business Administration, Accounting. He later obtained his CPA designation in the State of Indiana in 1991. Mike is married to the former Melissa Le Blanc and the couple has two children, a son, Grant, and a daughter, Evie. He is an avid follower of politics, and enjoys spending time with his family, reading and playing golf.
Victor L. Gunderson ChFC, REBC - Vice President
Vic has been Vice President and Manager of the Benefits & Financial Services Division of Der Manouel Insurance Group since March of 2001. Vic serves as mentor to the Agency Producers and Service Staff. The agency authority on Health Care Reform and Compliance, Vic studied at the American College of Financial Services, headquartered in Bryn Mawr, PA and is a Chartered Financial Consultant, Registered Health Underwriter and Registered Employee Benefit Consultant.
Vic is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and the Society of Financial Services Professionals.
Vic and his wife Betty have two daughters and 5 grandchildren. Vic enjoys golf, reading and spending time with his family.
Kevin Nist - CFO
Kevin has been with the company since is was founded in 1983 and became a shareholder of the company in 2007. He is responsible for the overall management of the accounting functions of DMIG, Inc. Kevin attended John Carroll University in Cleveland, Ohio were he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. Kevin is married and has a daughter.
Chuck Der Manouel - Managing Partner
Chuck joined the firm as a producer in 2003 and became a partner in January 2007. During his first year with DMIG, he developed only the fourth self-insured Workers’ Compensation Group ever approved in California. This program was created for private Christian schools and was authorized to operate in July, 2004. It is one of the most successful programs in California today. Chuck is a 1992 graduate of the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he was a member of the baseball team. He holds a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Management.
Chuck and his wife, the former Stephanie Tutunjian, have two daughters, Danielle Ani and Reese. He is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family.
